Medical Image Processing


Medical image processing combines basic and applied research, focusing on developing optimal solutions for collecting, processing and analyzing medical images. The purpose is to assist radiologists in making fast and precise diagnoses, thus paving the way for effective treatment.


Investigate and leverage data-driven machine learning-based approaches to process and analyze various medical imaging modalities such as X-ray, Mammography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The analysis and diagnosis are not only based on images but also on the correlation between images and other types of medical data such as clinical, pathological and genotyping data, etc, in order to deliver screening and diagnosis assistance for several popular and dangerous diseases in Vietnam, especially for cancers such as lung, breast and liver cancers, etc.
